3 Malayalam movies you should be watching right now
100 Days of Love
This film proves that you can’t go wrong with a good old love story when it’s told right. Debutant director Jenuse Mohamed hits the spot with 100 Days of Love, which has been running to packed houses despite releasing in the exam season.
It stars current southern heart throb Dulquer Salman as a columnist in Bangalore and Nithya Menen, a happy-go-lucky girl who lives life on her own terms.
Their chemistry was superb in Usthad Hotel and positively crackles in this one. They meet, they become friends, love happens… There are no surprises in the plot, but it’s in the telling that this film is a standout. And audiences are loving it.
#100daysoflove Loved it!! Dreamy visuals. Romance was in the air throughout. @dulQuer @nithya_mn

@dulQuer a new definition for love #100DaysOfLove simply beautiful
Ennum Eppozhum
It would take a really bad script to bring down a movie that stars the supremely talented Mohan Lal, an actor who makes it all seem so effortless. Ennum Eppozhum lets the consummate star shine and the accomplished Manju Warrier complements him beautifully.
This is the story of a senior journalist looking for that one big story and a single mother who fights for the custody of her child. Sathyan Anthikad creates a touching family drama, delving into the finest nuances of human nature. Accolades have been pouring in for Lal and the film.
Happiness is watching him onscreen. The complete actor. #Mohanlal #EnnumEppozhum pic.twitter.com/fM8XcavkOQ

Oru Vadakkan Selfie
What a line-up of young talent there is in Malayalam cinema these days! Among them is Nivin Pauly, who’s starred in some of the biggest hits of recent times. And now there is Oru Vadakkan Selfie, a comedy by debutant G Prajith revolving around the selfie generation.
Nivin Pauly plays an engineering student who’s terrible at studies and decides on a career in movies. His plans go awry when a single selfie he takes with a girl he fancies – played by Manjima Mohan — takes on a life of its own. The rest is sheer hilarity.
