5 awesome new cars set to hit the Indian market this year

So, be it a SUV, a Hatchback, a Crossover or a Small Car that you are planning to buy, a few months wait will be worth your money. In the meanwhile check out these cars which are confirmed to hit the Indian Markets by the end of this year. 

1. Chevrolet Trailblazer

The Chevy Trailblazer will be the largest SUV in the Indian market, it measures 4878x1902x1847 which is slightly bigger than the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, the Toyota Fortuner and the Hyundai Santa Fe. The Trailblazer houses a 2.8-litre four cylinder, sixteen valve with DOHC valve configuration engine under its hood and will be available in 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

2. Hyundai Creta

With India catching on to compact SUVs, Hyundai decided to join the race with the Creta. This compact SUV will share the same 1.6-liter 4 cylinder engine unit from the Verna. The vehicle will come in five and six-speed manual transmissions. There will be another 4-speed automatic variant too.

3. Maruthi Suzuki S Cross

The Maruthi S Cross is a close competitor to Hyundai’s Creta, Renault’s Duster and Ford’s EcpSport. Although, it will only be available in diesel variants of 1.3 and 1.6-liter engines. The S Cross is more of a crossover than an SUV, it comes with a lot of similar specs as the SX4. A good buy considering Maruthi’s track record for after sale service and reliability.

4. Ford Figo Aspire

This vehicle is part of the sub-compact sedan segment, ford aims to take on cars such as the Maruthi Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and the Hyundai Xcent with its Figo Aspire. The car will come with 1.5-litre TDCi diesel and 1.2-litre TiVCT petrol engines.

5. Renault Kwid

The Kwid aims to capture the small car segment, it looks like a miniature version of the Duster. It has a cute 800cc, 5 speed manual three cylinder petrol engine, there will be no diesel variant for this vehicle anytime in the near future. What really stands out in the Kwid is that it has a SAT-NAV system and a touch screen music system, fairly good interiors and nice looking exteriors too, and it comes at a really economic price.
