Living in the capital city is all about sporting the latest trends, visiting the popular cafes and yet not overshooting monthly budgets. Here are 5 flea markets in Delhi that you just can’t miss going to if you’re a budget shopper!

1. Sarojini Nagar Market

There is absolutely no Delhiite who doesn’t recommend or shop at the Sarojini Nagar Market! Whether you’re someone seeking the current fashion trends or wanting to set a trend, this place is for you. From clothing, footwear, junk jewellery, bags to just about anything that can enhance your summer look, the shops here have them all.

The best part about this place is that you could carry a few thousands in your pocket and return with several bagfuls! And if you’re a pro at haggling, you’ll literally be shopping till you drop.

2. Janpath

The Janpath market is similar to the Sarojini Nagar market only smaller. But don’t be fooled! The market has some really cool shops and there’s a lot more scope to haggle on costs! In fact, apart from the regular fashion accessories and clothing, you will find a number of artisans here as well. Traditional handicrafts, clothing, jewellery and footwear—what more could you ask for!

It also houses a few really talented mehendi artists. So, if you’re headed here, don’t forget to get your hands covered in some henna designs!

3. Greater Kailash, M Block Market

Another popular and favourite flea market amongst the Delhiites is GK—an all round place for ‘serial’ shoppers. The flea market has just about everything to offer. From traditional wear to funky jewellery and even trendy footwear! There are also a number of cafes in the area if you need a quick break from all that shopping!

In case you’re looking forward to getting a tattoo done this summer, GK has some crazy awesome studios too!

4. Tibetan Market

There’s a Buddhist paradise in Delhi famous by the name of Majnu Ka Tila. From Buddhist gongs to authentic Tibetan food—you’ll find all things that represent the Buddhist culture here. You can shop for items straight from Tibet at really pocket-friendly prices!

5. Lajpat Nagar

The central market here will give you an overview of the Indian culture in just a matter of minutes. With tons of variety in clothing material and stitched salwar kameez, sarees, bangles and henna artists, you’ll be mesmerized by the kaleidoscopic experience! It is definitely one of those flea markets that you’d want to repeatedly head to—especially if you’re shopping for some special occasions.
