Bollywood celebrities have time and again been red-faced due to the goof-ups they make with names. Whether it is mixing up of names in an award show, or giving an example of their general knowledge to the world, here are some of the biggest goof ups made by Bollywood celebs.

Preity Zinta: Recently in an awards show, Preity Zinta kept referring to Sonakshi Sinha as Sonam Kapoor. Preity did not even realize her mistake, and finally Sonakshi only had to correct her when she joined Preity on the stage.

Sidharth Malhotra: Sidharth might have impressed audiences with his films, but he is still inexperienced when it comes to hosting award shows. While hosting a popular award show, Sidharth made many goof ups, keeping the audience in splits. But the most embarrasing one was when he addressed Citylights actress Patralekha as Patrakar.

Anu Malik: Music composer Anu Malik also has a major stage goof up to his credit. When he had to announce the winner for the Most Entertaining Actress in a comedy role, an overconfident Anu Malik announced Nishant Bhandari’s name. As a clueless audience waited, he quickly laughed off the mistake and called Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress Nushrat Bharucha on the stage.

Alia Bhatt: Alia Bhatt’s rapid fire round on Koffee with Karan made it the most-talked about episode ever for the show. Alia, who thought that the President of India was Prithviraj Chauhan, was subjected to a lot of criticism and a series of online memes for her goof up.

Anushka Sharma: Actress Anushka Sharma also made a grave mistake, when she wrote revolutionary Maulana Abul Kalam Azad’s name on her microblogging site, when she actually intended to pay homage to former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Within minutes, Anushka became the butt of jokes online.

Jackky Bhagnani: When Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel prize for peace, many Bollywood celebs congratulated her for the achievement on their microblogging pages. But actor Jackky Bhagnani made a major typo error, when instead of writing Malala, he wrote Masala. Well, gossip mills did get a lot of ‘masala’ that day!
