7 interesting facts you should know about Allu Arjun’s ‘S/O Satyamurthy’

Stylish star Allu Arjun’s ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ hit theaters this week at 1,350 screens across the globe. This is Arjun and Trivikram’s second film together after ‘Julayi’ and there are high expectations from the pair. Here are 7 interesting facts about the film.

Title

The full form of S/O Satyamurthy is Son of Satyamurthy. Allu Arjun plays the role of the son, while Prakash Raj is the father Satyamurthy. Going by the title, the movie will focus on father-son sentiment and will be a family entertainer.

Earlier, it was rumoured that the movie was going to be named ‘Trishulam’. Later, Trivikram considered titles such as ‘Hushaaru’ and ‘Jaadugar’. Finally, on 6 March, 2015 the producers announced ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ as the title.

Trivikram, the director

Trivikram has been one of the most successful directors in Tollywood. He is known for his witty dialogue and narration style. After his last blockbuster ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, fans are expecting something even bigger. Some catchy pieces of dialogue are expected from this magician of words.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun

After the success of blockbuster ‘Race Gurram’, there are high expectations from Allu Arjun, who is known for his dance steps and dialogue delivery.

Arjun will portray a brave son who fulfills his father’s dreams while also working as a wedding planner.

The Real Star: Upendra

While it was said that Upendra was doing an antagonistic role, the crew confirmed that it was not a negative role, but a role parallel to the one played by Allu Arjun. Upendra is seen as a Tamilian landlord  in Madurai, and Nithya Menon plays his sister.

While there is a substantial fan following for Upendra’s movies in Andhra Pradesh, his inclusion in this movie will help the movie to do good business in Karnataka too. Earlier, Arjun Sarja was said to have been contacted for the role. However, he denied this rumor, saying that he was happy playing a hero.

Three Heroines

Samantha, Adah Sharma and Nithya Menon are the female leads in the film. Adah Sharma is seen in traditional attire,  while Nithya plays a character with negative shades. Apart from these three heroines, Sneha also has a prominent role.

Comedy

Comedy actor M. S. Narayana, who did one of the supporting roles in the film, passed away while his dubbing was still pending. Director Trivikram decided to retain his scenes and use mimicry artiste Siva Reddy to dub for the late actor. Apart from M. S. Narayana, Brahmanandam and Ali are sure to add to the film’s comedy quotient.

Music and Lyrics

There are 7 songs in the film. Apart from scoring the music, DSP has also penned three songs for the film. Folk-fusion artist Raghu Dixit has sung a song that marks his Tollywood debut.

The film is produced by S Radha Krishna under the banner Haarika and Hassine Creations.

The rest of the cast includes Rajendra Prasad, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh, Sampath Raj, Vennela Kishore, Surekha Vani, Sindhu Tolani, Mamilla Shailaja Priya and Pavitra Lokesh.
