A 23 year old man from Madya Pradesh was presumed dead after being bitten by a snake. He woke up from the funeral pyre just before it was set on fire.
The man identified as Sandeep was collecting wood in the forest, when he was bitten. He went back to village in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh and told his family what had happened. Sandeep was taken to tantric healer in a nearby village, rather than a hospital.
Sadly the tantric healing did not work and the young man was declared dead. But just when the body was about to be burnt, Sandeep woke up. In state of shock, people take him back to the tantric healer, but treatment fails again and he is declared dead for the second time.
The body was then taken to a district hospital for post-mortem, and was later cremated.
