A woman by the name of Selena Avalos, from San Jose, California, hit jackpot when she ordered a box of chicken wings.
The woman thought, she was receiving a regular delivery box, but instead found $5,000 bundled along with the chicken wings.
Firmly believing that “Honesty is the best policy”, Avalos reached out to Domino’s and told them about the cash she had found and as a reward, she was promised free Domino’s pizza for an entire year. She was also given a week off with pay by her employer for her good deed.
“I was like, I can’t keep it, it’s a crazy amount of money,” she told NBC4. “It’s not like it’s $20 you find, you know? It’s almost $5,000.”
Being hailed for being a hero, a year worth of free pizza and a paid week off, it was definitely worth it.
