Ace director Mani Ratnam who began shooting an untitled Tamil romantic drama with Sai Pallavi and Karthi was in a fix after Sai walked out of the project citing prolonged delay as the reason. She may have lost a plum role in the process!

However, the cast is finally in place! If reports are to be believed, Bollywood actress Aditi Rao Hydari will replace Sai Pallavi. Aditi was last seen in the Bollywood film Wazir.
Mani Ratnam was earlier looking to make a thriller film with Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead roles—the story of which was said to be similar to Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur—but dropped it after Dulquer backed out of the project.
This will be Aditi’s second Tamil film after after Sringaram in 2007.
