Akshay Kumar’s Rustom garnered a lot of support from celebrities in the industry. Running down a countdown of 10 days to the film’s release, superstars and actors like Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt made videos in their own styles to promote Rustom and posted it on their respective Twitter handles.
While Ranveer Singh danced to Zeher Hai Ki Pyaar Hai Tera Chumma, an old song of Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha crooned a song of Rustom. While Sidharth Malhotra delivered a dialogue from the movie, Alia Bhatt turned into sexy Raveena Tandon and danced to Tip Tip Barsa Paani. Each young actor gave a tribute to the superstar that Akshay Kumar is and asked their fans to watch Rustom.
As a sign of gratitude to all these stars, Akshay Kumar too posted a video of his own, now that the movie has released and is doing reasonably well. In the two videos posted by Akshay, the actor can be seen in pajamas with a hoolah hoop, singing a hilarious song. In one go, Akshay has promoted the upcoming movies of all these actors, and ended the video with – Mere liye jisne jo kiya, usko thank you, thank you, shukriya!
