2. Earlier there was quite a buzz that it was Arnold Schwarzenegger who would be playing the antagonist in this mega production. It appears the Hollywood star has opted out of the project and the role has gone to Akshay.

3. Fans have been dying to get a glimpse of Rajini’s look in the film. Looks like the Superstar, who had sported an Oakley beard for the role of scientist Vaseegaran in Enthiran, is going to pretty much keep the same look in the sequel.

4. Amy Jackson has been cast in the role of the female lead in Enthiran 2. She was also the heroine in Shankar’s previous film, Ai, the Vikram-starrer. There is speculation that Amy will be playing a robot in Enthiran 2 and that her character will have negative shades.

5. Shankar’s favourite A.R.Rahman will be composing the score for Enthiran 2. His songs for Enthiran went on to become chart-busters.

6. The Kollywood buzz is that much of the film will be shot at a vast set being created on the outskirts of Chennai at EVP. Knowing Shankar, it won’t be any ordinary set for sure.

7. The filmmaker is known to shoot in exotic locales and in Enthiran there were sequences filmed in Peru and Brazil. Apparently, the some parts of Enthiran 2 will be shot in Bolivia.

8.  It’s going to be made on a massive budget, even bigger than Baahubali, it seems. Shankar, insiders say, is looking at something like Rs 250 crore-plus. The producer is the billionaire Subaskaran Alliraja, who also finances the Vijay-starrer Katthi.
