Premam, starring Nivin Pauly, has been declared a super hit. It’s also prompted its director, Alphonse Puthren, to write an open letter to Rohit Shetty who made Chennai Express – a film many thought was egregious.

South Indians, particularly Tamilians, who found Deepika Padukone’s language in the film utterly laughable, will cheer for Alphonse Puthren who writes ‘Please don’t insult any regional people with your wonderful language skills…When you direct a Hindi film that is going to be there in the mind of zillions of people watching it. Never unknowingly insult a whole community…’

Please dont insult any regional people with your wonderful language skills.
