Are you ready for the first ever supervillains movie?

DC Comic’s Suicide Squad is a team of badass Supervillains who go by the name of Task Force X and is summoned from prison by the government to work on top secret missions, in exchange for a shorter sentence. The Joker however, is not part of Task Force X, we wonder what plans  director David Ayer has in store for the character.

David Ayer has directed movies such as Fast and the Furious, Training Day, U-571, Fury and many others. He has a dark and serious style of direction, so it could be safe to say that, Suicide Squad will not be like The Avengers or the other superhero movies.

Take a look at the members of Suicide Squad and the actors who will be playing them:

The Joker will be played by Jared Leto

As of now we don’t really know what The Joker’s role in the movie is, but he’s got a ‘Killer’ new look in it.

Harley Quinn will be played by Margot Robbie

Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel is an Arkham psychiatrist who fell “madly” in love with the Joker which changed her career into a criminal one.

Deadshot will be played by Will Smith

Deadshot (Floyd Lawton) is a deadly marksman who has a death wish. His skills as a marksman and no regard for human life make him a lethal assassin. Deadshot’s life’s desire is to die in the most spectacular way.

Captain Boomerang will be played by Jai Courtney

Captain Boomerang (George Digger Harkness) is the most dysfunctional and undependable member of the Suicide Squad. He has a rough personality and an in-your-face racist attitude which makes him a perfect fit in a team of misfits.

Enchantress will be played by Cara Delevingne

Enchantress (June Moon) is both a superhero and a supervillain, she is recruited into the Suicide Squad and the team is tasked with keeping her supervillain side alive and kicking. In the comic books she has jeopardized more than one mission through her superhero alter ego.

Killer Croc will be played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje

Killer Croc (Waylon Jones) is a half human, half reptilian hybrid who appears in several Batman comics as a notorious killer. His first killing according to DC Comics was his drunk aunt who used to called him names like “lizardboy” and “freak.”

Katana will be played by Karen Fukuhara

Katana, as her name suggests is a samurai warrior gone astray, her abilities include martial arts and soul stealing. She can take the souls of those she kills and communicate with them. It is too early to tell what her role in the Suicide Squad movie will be though.

El Diablo/Chato Santana will be played by Jay Hernandez

The first El Diablo was Lazarus Lane, a bank teller who was almost killed by a gang and put in coma. In the Jonah Hex comic books, Lazarus Lane is said to be cursed to host a demon which acts as the spirit of vengeance. However, David Ayer’s movie will feature Chato Santana as El Diablo, an ex-criminal who is hospitalized and meets a decaying Lazarus Lane only to become the host of El-Diablo.

Batman – Ben Affleck 

Yes, the new Batman will be seen in the Suicide Squad movie, but that’s all we’re saying as of now.

Rick Flag 

As far as the comic books go, Rick Flag has three characters, father, son and grandson. It isn’t clear which one will be featured in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie. Rick Flag Jr. is the leader of the Suicide Squad formed by Amanda Waller. So we can safely presume that the son will be featured in the 2016 feature film, Suicide Squad.

Amanda Waller

Waller is a ruthless woman who heads the Suicide Squad, she is the one with absolute control over them deciding who dies and lives. She plants explosive under the skin of each member to keep them in line with the mission. So, if any of them should run astray, boom!
