Amidst the ongoing and rising tension between India and Pakistan, world renowned yoga guru Baba Ramdev has said in an interview that he is open to the idea of opening a Patanjali unit in Pakistan as well, as “yoga is also an art”.

In an interview with Indian Express, Baba Ramdev said that he wouldn’t mind opening a Patanjali unit in Pakistan to help Pakistanis live a healthier life, before adding that “unlike Pakistani artistes”, he was not going to “bring back any profits” but instead, use the earnings of the company for the welfare of Pakistanis.

Having made this shocking statement, he also criticized all the Pakistani artistes who were working in India for not speaking up against the Uri attacks, which kickstarted the current hatred between the two countries. “Artistes are not terrorists, but do these people have no souls?” he said in the interview.

Patanjali has already set up its international units this year in Nepal and Bangladesh, and will soon foray into manufacturing ‘swadeshi’ jeans and also launch dairy products.
