Bengaluru: Rickshaw driver harasses two women near Cunningham Road

On Sunday, two women were harassed by a auto rickshaw driver near Sigma Mall on Cunningham Road.

Two women excise officers,who were headed from Shivajinagar to Cunningham Road. The problem started when they asked the auto rickshaw driver to make a quick stop at a nearby shop. This is when verbal altercation broke out and the auto rickshaw driver started abusing the women.

A passerby observed the incident and tried to help the women by calling up the police control room, but constantly got a busy tone. A cheetah patrolling bike arrived at the scene only after 20 minutes and proved to be of little help. The policemen only asked the harassed women  to contact the police station.

The two women have given a complaint against the auto rickshaw driver, identified as Mohammed Ajim, at the High Grounds police station. City Police Commissioner N.S. Megharikh as asked the police force to take strict action against the rickshaw driver.
