When the likes of King Khan take to the small screen there’s usually a huge amount of excitement and hype all round. But Shah Rukh Khan’s presence on new reality show India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun, or SSK as it’s going to be known, on &TV has been preceded by some amount of skepticism and questions about whether he can pull this one off.
This is because of the superstar’s history on previous reality shows. TRP watchers have pointed out that his KBC ratings were nowhere those Amitabh Bachchan managed for the show. Other reality shows Shah Rukh Khan presented, such as Kya Aap Panchvi Paas se Tez Hain? and Zor ka Jhatka didn’t exactly set the small screen on fire.
Naturally, there’s lots of speculation whether he can turn things around with SSK.

Here’s what it looks going by episode No.1:
* Shah Rukh’s certainly looking good and is turning on the charm, which his contestants and audiences seem to love.
* This is a far less formal setting than KBC and SRK is happy to fool around a bit which goes down well with his audiences as well.
* The choreography at the start of the show and his dramatic arrival certainly wows the crowd, but we’re guessing the wow factor will wear off.
* As for the quality of the content itself, it’s just another take on KBC with people on the street, rather than a computer throwing up questions. Some are engaging, others not. Some comments have already described the questions as ‘stupid’.
