A techie couple from Chennai were arrested for running a child pornagraphy website. The husband and wife were allegedly running the site from a rented house at Sholiganallur from three years.
The site operated on a membership basis and offered child porn images and videos to clients. It reportedly earned the couple a net profit of 2.4 crore.
According to the police, the couple identified as Siddharth Velu and his wife Priscilla Margaret Dhanaraj initially started with a single porn site called cute candid.net and latter went on to open 4 other such sites. Initial interrogation revealed that They confessed that they ran the sites to earn quick money.
A case has been registered against the couple under the IT act and charges of child pornography. They are currently being interrogated for information regarding the clients of their websites.
