When it comes to breaking records, nobody can compete with China. And it has pulled off yet another gravity-defying, terrifying feat. China has opened the world’s longest and highest glass bridge in the Hunan province of central China.

The glass-floored suspension bridge hangs 300 meters above a canyon in the Tianmenshan National Forest Park and is 430 meters long. The bridge connects the two Avatar mountains (the film was shot here) and a maximum of 8000 visitors are allowed in a day, with reservations made in advance.

The six meter-wide bridge is made of 99 panes of three-layer transparent glass and has been designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan. Needless to say, the bridge is already breaking world records for its architecture and design and lucky visitors are going crazy clicking pictures sitting on the glass on top of the canyon!
