Tollywood megastar and Congress leader Chiranjeevi’s younger daughter Srija will get married in Bangalore on March 28. It is reported that the wedding will be planned at the superstar’s farmhouse in Devanahalli.
Media reports say that the family chose Bangalore over other cities for the wedding for its cooler and pleasant climate. Earlier reports suggested Udaipur or Jaipur as the venue. A few reports had even mentioned Hyderabad and Chennai as the possible venues. However, Chiranjeevi and his son, actor Ram Charan, finally chose their farmhouse in Bangalore as the venue as all other cities are hot in March.
The bridegroom Kalyan was Srija’s schoolmate. His father Captain Kishan is a businessman who owns jewellery showrooms in Hyderabad. The groom’s family is from Chittoor.
The wedding will be a close family affair—only a few selected guests including politicians are invited. However, a grand musical reception will be arranged in Hyderabad on March 27 for guests from the film industries in the south and from Bollywood.
This is Srija’s second marriage. Srija had earlier eloped with Sirish Bharadwaj. She also has a daughter from that marriage.
