Coldplay to play in Mumbai on Nov 19 and the tickets are completly free

After several rumors in the past, it is finally confirmed that rock band Coldplay will be playing in Mumbai on November 19.  However, there have been reports about the tickets are between Rs 25,000 to Rs 5 lakh, leaving a lot of fans heartbroken.

Many a joke were made on social media on the ticket prices, with people commenting about how they would need to sell their organs to afford a ticket.  Well, put all your worries to rest, because the organizers Global Citizen come forward to say that the tickets are completely free. This doesn’t mean that you can just go to the venue and claim the ticket, no, you will need to earn it.

Global Citizen as part of its Global Poverty Project, looks to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030. You will need to do a good deed and support the cause.    

People can earn the tickets by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.in

Just like our annual festival in Central Park, tickets to the Indian Festival will be FREE. Fans will earn them through taking actions in support of education, equality, and sanitation campaigns.

Starting Monday, tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned through the new platform by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.IN

In its first year, Global Citizen India will offer a wide cross-section of content and actions focused on creating meaningful impacts in the areas of education, equality, and clean water and sanitation. Check back on Monday and follow @GlblctznIN for more information,” Global Citizen wrote in a blog post.

This is the fifth edition of Global Citizen Festival. Previously, the earlier versions of the  festival has seen the likes of artists Metallica, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder and Rihanna. Of Course, this time it will be Coldplay along with other Indian artists. Reportedly, Chris Martin, Coldplay’s lead singer is the creative director of the festival.
