The T20 World Cup is around the corner and bookies are believed to be gearing up for another betting season. Sources claim that D-Company will hold a meeting on Thursday night with major bookies from across the world.

According to DNA, the sources claim that three major agendas would be discussed at the meeting: the betting rates on different teams and players, assessment of the income from across the world through the tournament and ways to evade security agencies.

The D-company apparently has already decided the rates of the teams and players, and the announcement at the meeting is only a formality.

The secret meeting is said to be organized at a five-star hotel in one of the Gulf cities. Major bookies from at least 12 countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Australia will participate in the meeting.

It is also believed that Anees (Dawood Ibrahim’s brother), who will lead the meeting, will be physically absent and instruct the participants from an undisclosed location through an internet call or video conferencing.

The bookies could earn an obscene amount of money from the high-voltage India-Pakistan match.

The story originally appeared in DNA.
