Death row convict Nino Matthew to computerize Kerala prison

Nino Matthew, an IT employee and a death row convict in the Attingal double murder case, is busy with a laptop even while behind the bars in Poojappura central jail in Thiruvananthapuram.

The jail authorities have entrusted the job of computerizing the jail to the prison inmate who awaits capital punishment for murdering his paramour’s 4-year-old daughter and mother-in-law.

Prime accused in Attingal double murder sentenced to death

The software professional has been on the job since the beginning of his trial. Inmates are normally remunerated with a nominal pay for their service while in the jail premises.

Nino is lodged with eight other death row prisoners. Nino would be able to appeal to the higher courts and even petition the president of India to annul his death sentence.
