From enjoying peanuts with masala tea to warming hands sitting next to a bonfire, Delhi sure is a complete bliss during winter! And here are 10 reasons why everyone is in love with the bone chilling winters of Delhi:

1. It’s a great time to party

Winter season in Delhi is always buzzing with festivals, events, parties – right from CP to the favourite party hub, Hauz Khas Village. From dance, music, to food festivals, there is something for everyone. Be it schools, colleges, working professionals, you’ll find just about everyone huddled together to have some fun!

2. Best time to eat ‘out’

Delhi is a foodies heaven. While the summer restricts even the biggest of foodies from moving out to the streets, with winter coming in, there’s just no stopping. From enjoying outdoor restaurants like Mia Bella at Hauz Khas to going out to the monastery area at the Civil Lines and also tasting authentic momos, Delhiites sure know how to make the most out of the chilly weather!

3. Interesting handicraft melas to attend

With winters comes a line of handicraft melas throughout Delhi/NCR – especially because people are more than willing to move out to soak up some winter sunlight. One of the most popular handicraft melas is the Surajkund Mela. Colors, craft, dance, food, heritage of India, talents from across the city and so on, this mela sure has everything you need to spend an interesting day out. Held every year from 1st to 15th of February, this is one place that should be on everyone’s bucket list!

4. The season of flowers

Now the summers here surely don’t let most flowers bloom, but the winters welcome them with open hands. You will find the city suddenly blooming with colourful flowers instead of the all-year-round green plants. From tiny ice flowers to poppies and many others, there’s absolutely no other thing that brings in colour to the dull (yet enjoyable) winters!
