The sister-in-law of Nawazuddin Siddiqui has filed a complaint at the police station in Budhana, against the actor, her spouse and their sibling Saima for harassing her for dowry.
Afrin, who is 3 months pregnant said that she has been harassed for dowry ever since she got married to Minazuddin, brother of Nawazuddin on May 31.
“On September 28, at 10pm, Minazuddin and his four siblings, including Nawazuddin, Faizuddin, Mazuddin and Saima, started forcing me to return to my house. Because it was night, I pleaded with them that I would go the next day , but they did not listen to me and started beating me up and pushed me outside the house,” Afrin said in her complaint.
According to the police, the victim claims that since the house was under surveillance, the Siddiquis turned of the CCTV during the incident. However, Nawazuddin has denied all allegations and is ready to provide the CCTV footage to the police.
The police for now have not registered any case and still looking into the matter.
