This little girl from Kirari in Delhi pretended to be dead in front of her rapist to avoid further damage to her body and life.
“From what she told us, it appears that the man abducted her around 1.30 a. m. while she was sleeping in a cot outside the house. When she realized that she was somewhere else with a stranger, she tried to scream but he gagged her mouth,” the victim’s father told the Press Trust of India.
The alleged rapist, reportedly, took the girl to a secluded place close to her house and abused her. It is suspected that the rapist is a minor.
The girl, who was scared, pretended to be immobile fearing that the person may kill her. That trick effectively scared away the person, but, reportedly, he kept pinching her to verify whether she was dead. Once the offender left the place, she stood up and ran home.
However, he spotted her running and chased her until he tripped on a stone and fell.
The alleged incident took place on Saturday afternoon and the police apprehended him on Tuesday.
“We were horrified when my wife spotted blood stains on the bed sheet and, meanwhile, my daughter also started complaining about pain in her lower abdomen and private parts,” he said. He added that the girl later broke down and told her parents about the sexual assault.
She was admitted to a hospital in Delhi and is stable according to reports.
