France: A woman making documentary on sexual abuse raped at knifepoint

A woman working on a sexual abuse documentary in the Calais Jungle refugee camp, was raped at knife point by a group of UK-bound migrants.

The woman was working as  an interpreter to a reporter and as the crew was shooting the film, they were attacked by the gang.

The assailants initially tried to steal the journalists’ equipment, until one of them turned towards the woman and the accomplishes, followed. After the assault, the victim and the crew were managed to escape and went straight to Calais police station. She was later admitted into the hospital.  

Forensic doctors have collected samples to determine the genetic profile of the rapist.

Close to 10,000 migrants are currently living in the Jungle, where muggings, rape and other crimes run rampant.
