Futuristic transport network could reduce travel time drastically

Imagine going from LA to San Francisco in around half and hour. Well, stop imagining because Hyperloop technologies have just brought that concept to life.

What is Hyperloop?

Hyperloop is a new method of transporting people or objects anywhere in the world quickly, safely, with no environmental damage done and in the most efficient way possible.

The Hyperloop system is operated by an electric propulsion system to accelerate a human or object through a low pressure tube.

The vehicle slightly levitates above the tracks and can travel at speeds of 760 miles-an-hour, i.e, the speed of sound. Hyperloop technologies aim at eliminating direct emissions, noise, delay, weather concerns and also pilot error.

The concept of “Hyperloop” was founded by Elon Musk,  who also happens to be the founder of SpaceX and Tesla Motors. Elon Musk licensed his “Hyperloop” concept to various companies which were willing to make this concept become a reality.

Hyperloop technologies is now one step closer to making this concept come true, as the first test of the Hyperloop propulsion system was done in Nevada in the US.

The main advantage of the Hyperloop from the point of view of the passengers would be the fact that this mode of transport is cheaper than by flight, road or even superfast trains.

We might as well consider Hyperloop to be the transportation of the future.
