Would you believe it? Game Of Thrones will soon come to an end, as show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have confirmed that only 13 episodes are left and they will be spread out over two seasons.
In an interview with Deadline, the duo have confirmed the season seven will feature seven episodes and season 8 only six.
The thing that has excited us from the beginning, back to the way we pitched it to HBO is, it’s not supposed to be an ongoing show, where every season it’s trying to figure out new story lines. We wanted it to be one giant story, without padding it out to add an extra 10 hours, or because people are still watching it”, said Benioff.
According to the two, the story has surpassed the books and is now heading to an end. Of course, it’s pretty evident that many things were changed in the series, compared to the books. It will be interesting to see, how things will come to an end.
