Facing a lion in its fiery-grandeur takes immense courage. And a Pakistani photographer’s brave attempt to capture a lion through his lens has now shocked the world.

Atif Saeed, a nature photographer,  captured a stunning image of a male lion seconds before it made an offensive in a very close attempted attack. This photograph, clicked while was he was cruising a wildlife park near Lahore, has now gone viral.

When he spotted the lion in the safari, he got out of his car and slowly inched towards the beast, with only a camera in his hand. After he captured a few snaps, alerted by the shutter sound the beast turned towards him.

‘I was sat on ground few feet away, so he was treating me like his prey’, said Atif to the DailyMail.

This fearsome image was taken in 2012, but suddenly caught the eyes of people on social media and is going viral.

Remembering this close encounter, he said, ‘The story finished in few seconds as the lion aggressively jumped towards me and I just about scrambled into my car’, DailyMail reported.

There are people trained to deal with such wild animals, like the one in the video below. However, for photographers, moments like this come out of the blue.
