Anirudh Ravichander, the young composer who tasted early success and became a phenomenon with his Kolaveri song that went viral, has been at work, conjuring up something special for Valentine’s Day this year.
The song, titled ‘Avalukkena’ – perhaps after the popular M.S Viswanathan song – has already been causing a buzz on social media and will be released on February 14th.
Anirudh, a hot favourite with young listeners, ran into a rough patch a while ago when his name was linked to the ‘Beep Song’ which was derogatory to women and riled various groups.
Insiders say that this song will make amends in a way, with the lyrics talking about everything a man will do for the woman he loves.
Last year, too, Anirudh teamed up with filmmaker Vignesh Sivan, to come up with the hit romantic single Enakkena Yaarum Illaye. This year, the duo have worked on Avalukkena as a Valentine’s Day song. And going by the pre-release buzz, it promises to catch on pretty quick.
