All of you who feared that Whatsapp would be banned, Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the petition seeking the ban of the popular messenger app.

Whatsapp introduced a new security feature of 256 bit End-to-End encryption, which makes it virtually impossible to decode messages. In fact, even the company itself will not be able to break into the encryption.

The petition was filed by Haryana-based Right to Information (RTI) activist Sudhir Yadav, on the pretext that such a feature can be taken advantage of by terrorist groups and criminals.
