India reeling under world’s 5th deadliest heat wave: Is the government doing enough to tackle this natural calamity?

No respite from heat wave

Scorching sun and searing winds continue to sweep India as the country reels under the immense heat wave that has so far claimed over 2000 lives. The deadliest heat wave India recorded was in 1998 in which 2,541 people died. The most lethal heat wave in the world was in 2003 that struck Europe, killing over 71,000 people.
