Hilarious responses to the Sony hack and the decision to hold the release of The Interview

The North Korean leader reprises Harrison Ford's iconic character

Following threats from a group of hackers, Sony Pictures recently held back the worldwide release of its controversial production, The Interview, which depicted an assassination attempt on North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The decision was met with severe criticism from several Hollywood big shots as well as proponents of free speech across the globe. Game of Thrones author George RR Martin went so far as to offer to screen it in a theatre owned by him. The online community on the other hand, responded to the decision with a series of funny memes, gifs and Photoshopped images, taking a jibe at the hackers’ cowardly threat, as well as Sony’s meek surrender. Here’s a selection of the best of the lot.
