Brandon Stanton, founder of Humans of New York (HONY), is the latest celebrity to join the ‘Trashing Trump’ club. He took to his Facebook page to write an open letter to the US republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The HONY founder had intended to remain impartial during the elections but Trump’s actions drove him to write the letter on his popular Facebook page. He wrote, “I didn’t want to risk any personal goodwill by appearing to take sides in a contentious election. But I realize now that there is no correct time to oppose violence and prejudice. The time is always now. Because along with millions of Americans, I’ve come to realize that opposing you is no longer a political decision. It is a moral one.”

In his letter, Brandon also condemns Trump for supporting violence during his rallies. Trump had promised to “pay the legal fees” for those who commit violence on his behalf. Referring to a man who punched a protester at a Trump rally, Stanton wrote, “I’ve watched you joyfully encourage violence.”
