A blow to all lovers of sea creatures and wildlife: French customs agents at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris discovered almost 19,000 smuggled seahorses dead in plastic packages. The seahorses were of the Hippocampus species which is particularly small and vulnerable and is registered as officially endangered.
