India is the World’s hunger capital. A ‘roti’ is still a distant dream for many!

‘The State of Food Insecurity in the World 2015’ a report compiled by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, International Fund for Agricultural Development and World Food Programme spells bad news for India – 194.6  million Indians are hungry!

The total number of hungry people worldwide stands at 795 million and the report states that the highest burden of the hunger in absolute terms is to be found in Southern Asia.

While, a lot has to do with the government policies and programmes, little things that we all can do will go a long way. Thing includes simple things like – not wasting food, buying a meal for a homeless man, buying weekly groceries for a family which cannot afford, and so on.

The choice is yours. Let’s not wait for the government or someone else, to give the hungry a simple meal.
