Actor Aamir ‘perfectionist’ Khan, is known to give his 100% when it comes to donning a certain look for his movies. However, his current bulked-up avatar has not only drawn flak from fitness experts, but has also thrown his wife and mother into a tizzy.

Aamir, who went from 68 kilos to 95 kilos for his role as a 55-year-old wrestler in his upcoming movie Dangal, recently admitted that he is worried about playing with his health.

He said, “My breathing has changed. When I tie my laces, my stomach comes in between. After 20 seconds, I have to (take a long) breath. My mom and my wife are very worried about my health as they feel I am playing with it.”

This is not the first time Aamir has experimented with his appearance. Aamir, who has showcased different looks in films like Lagaan, Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3 and PK, often swings from being fat to fit and fit to fat depending on the role he plays. However, this time around, the actor has stretched it a bit too far putting his own health at risk. At least that is what fitness experts believe.

According to experts, the body needs time to adjust to any kind of weight loss or weight gain. Any drastic step will only hamper an individual’s health. For those who are trying to gain weight, experts believe, an average of 2-3 kilos a month should be the target. Anything more would indicate either fat gain or use of uncalled for substances. Drastic weight gain, like in Aamir Khan’s case, points to a possible increase in the body fat levels, which is not advised to anyone looking to put on some muscles. Experts always instruct fitness enthusiasts to follow a more controlled diet and exercise routine to ensure that they don’t shock their bodies to an extent that it cannot bear the brunt.
