A group of 100 chefs baked a pizza 1,853.88 metres in length along the seafront of Naples in Italy and broke the world record for the longest pizza ever made. The previous record of 1,595.45 metres was set at last year’s World Expo in Milan, Italy.

It took 11 hours and 5 portable wood-fired ovens to make the pizza. The grocery list included 2,000 kg of flour, 1,600 kg of tomatoes, 2,000 kg of fiordilatte cheese, 200 litres of olive oil and lots of basil.

After the record was verified by the Guinness World Records, the visitors took away slices of the pizza. The remaining food was given to charities to feed the ones in need.
