Italy has a 24 hour wine fountain that is free to use

Are you planning a vacation abroad? Or even if you aren’t, you better plan one right now and head to Italy. Why you ask?

The town of Abruzzo in central Italy has a fountain that dispenses wine 24/7. Yes travelers will be able to drink the wine for free. Can you imagine it, it’s free?

Fontana di vino, located in the Dora Sarchese vineyard in the small town of Caldari di Ortona, which sits on the Italian pilgrimage route of Cammino di San Tommaso.The fountain was created by the vineyard in partnership with an NGO in charge of promoting the pilgrimage route.

Those walking through the 310 km-long route, which runs between Rome and Ortona can gather around the fountain and quench their thirst with some red wine.

“The fountain is made by the famous Italian architect Rocco Valentini, so actually it’s not just a place to drink but a piece of modern art thanks to his work,” a spokesperson for the winery told Mashable.
