How many times have we cribbed about the stench at the railways stations and the rail coaches? The garbage strewn on the railway tracks and the platforms just makes the travel experiences ever worse. However, with slogans such as ‘Swachh Bharat’ sweeping the country and better emphasis on operational efficiency, we expected some change. But when we didn’t see these slogans and promises translate into action, almost immediately, our inner voices said, “Our country is never going to change.”
Well, seems like it is. Even though this is just the beginning, people have been sharing on social media on how the travel experiences in the Indian railways have transformed – right from landing at a clean railway station to travelling in a clean coach with better infrastructure and even improved safety.
