Versatile Malayalam actor Jayasurya, known for his avant-garde roles, is all set to enthrall the audience yet again! This time as the police officer Dawood Ibrahim in the film IDI whose first look poster was recently released.
Sajid Yahia, of the Bangalore Days fame, would be making his directorial debut with the film.
This isn’t Jayasurya’s first role as a police officer. He had previously shined in the kakhi attire in Mumbai Police, Positive, Chakravyooham and Robinhood. Inside sources claim that his role as inspector Dawood Ibrahim in IDI would be his best police role yet.
The film is shot primarily in Kasaragod and Mangalore under Magic Lantern Productions and is set to release in June or July.
The action-thriller film also has an interesting list of cast. Shivada will star as the female lead opposite Jayasurya. The duo had also starred together in Su Su Sudhi Valmeekam—for which Jayasurya had won the national award. Rahul Raj is the music director of the film.
