Comedian Jim Carrey’s life is now plagued in tragedy, after his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White committed suicide. While the actor was still grieving over her death, he was being sued by White’s estranged husband Mark Buton, who also released some tasteless text messages exchanged between Carrey and White when they were together.

And now, Carrey is being sued by White’s mother, with claims that he gave her sexually transmitted diseases that drove her to commit suicide. White’s family has filed a lawsuit against Carrey saying he gave her three sexually transmitted diseases, verbally abused her and supplied her with “highly addictive” illegal drugs which she allegedly used to kill herself. The family also alleged that when White confronted Carrey about the STDs, he dumped her and tried to silence her after abusing her.

White’s mother said in a statement that her daughter found out in 2013 that she had contracted two types of herpes and chlamydia and lashed out at Carrey saying that he should be “ashamed” of himself for the way he treated White.
