Kamal and Shruti Haasan will for the first time star together in a film

Kamal Haasan unveiled his new movie on Friday at the new Nadigar Sangam building on Friday.Titled as ‘Sabash Naidu’, the new movie will for the first time have the veteran actor sharing screen space with daughter, Shruthi Hassan.

Directed by TK Rajeev Kumar,Sabash Naidu will be shot in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and is believed to be a spin-off of Dasavathaaram. Kamal will play the role of Balram Naidu and conveniently enough, Shruthi will be his daughter in the movie as well.

“Shruti is now a huge star; not just my daughter, and her appeal as a star is being used by Raaj Kamal films,” Kamal said. Shruthi, for her part, called the association “coming full circle”, said Kamal to The Hindu.

The Comedy thriller will have Telugu comedian Brahmanandam playing the role of Appa Rao, as the sidekick to Balram. Reports say that Ramya Krishnan and Malayalam actor Siddique will also play significant roles in the film.

Kamal said that the tile of the film was suggested by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, who makes a return to Kamal Haasan film as a music composer after 11 years.
