After a brief lul, Kannur district in Kerala again turned into a bloody war zone of intermittent RSS-CPM clashes.

In a fresh turn of events, an unidentified group of men claimed the life of a young RSS worker, Sujith, 27, in Pappinisseri in Kannur on Tuesday.

Hundreds of people have been laid to rest during the past many decades as a result of the murderous ideologies wielded by the RSS and the CPM here.

As per police findings, a scuffle between local RSS and CPM workers in Pappinisseri school on Monday snowballed into the murder of Sujith.

According to local police, attackers who barged into the house of Sujith by 11.45 pm on Monday, hacked him to death using swords. Reportedly, the victim’s parents tried to stop the assailants but were also injured in the attack. Unsurprisingly, residences of local CPM leaders were also attacked by unknown people in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Condemning the murder, BJP will observe an hartal in Pappinisseri, Kannur, Azhikode and Kalliasseri regions on Tuesday.
