Madhavan: Once chocolate boy – remember Alai Payuthe? – Madhavan has now, when he’s just three years short of 50 – turned into one hottie. His chiselled features and body to match are proof. In Irudhi Sutru we saw an ageing star, in Vikram Vedha he’s going to be super hot.

Ajith: No one in Kollywood has done salt ‘n’ pepper like Thala Ajith has. Unafraid to show his age, the actor has turned his grey hair into a style statement in films like Veeram, Aarambam and Ennai Arindhaal. And, there’s more to come.

Arvind Swamy: The Roja actor, once known for his boy-next-door looks, pulled off a coup with Thani Oruvan in which he played the super cool villain. It was a comeback of sorts for Arvind Swamy and he’s been on a roll ever since. Expect to see a very good looking 47-year-old in upcoming films such as Sathuranga Vettai 2, Bhasakar Oru Rascal and Vanangamudi.

Kamal Haasan: At 62, the superbly accomplished Kamal Haasan looks great both on and off screen. He’s fighting fit and when he romances on screen he can give many a younger hero a run for his money.

Vikram: Fifty-plus and still getting the girls swooning, that’s Vikram for you. It’s especially commendable, because he puts himself through so much hard work for the roles he plays, such as in Ai.

Rajkiran: Okay, he’s played father in more recent films than you can keep count of. But the very talented actor showed in Power Pandi that he’s got plenty of spunk and style. The film, directed by Dhanush, saw Rajkiran play a retired stuntmaster who goes looking for his first love. And what a job he did!
