In a dramatic move, Mammootty has jumped to the defense of his arch silver screen rival Mohanlal in the Lalisom lip-syncing scandal, urging people to stop bashing his colleague.
He said, “An artiste takes a lot of pain in organising events. Mohanlal is our pride and please see the spirit with which he came forward to hold the event. One should see his good intentions.”
However, Mohanlal’s critics show no sign of relenting on the barrage of criticism they have unleashed.
