What is this? Is the star of Inception willing to risk his life going to Mars? We get that he finally won an Oscar. Finally! But isn’t signing up for the world’s first experimental trip to the planet Mars a tad extreme?
We did previously tell you about Elon Musk, a man who wants to make Mars tourism a possibility by 2025. But what you also need to know is that this certified madman also warned all those who are signing up for for the trip to be ready to die, as a voyage to the red planet can be a dangerous one.
Regardless, Elon Musk believes that when Earth ceases to support life, Mars would create an escape route for humans. And It looks DiCaprio, the man behind the 11th order definitely wants to be on Mars when the clock strikes 12. Even if it means risking his life.
DiCaprio was recently in the White House South By South Lawn event with Obama and climate scientist Dr. Katharine Hayhoe.
Dr. Katharine jokingly said “If you’re a human living on this planet – which most of us are, yeah?
“As long as we haven’t signed up for the trip to Mars – I don’t want to know if anyone has – I think you’re crazy.” To which DiCaprio answered: “I did.”
Obama then added: “I think he’ll acknowledge he’s crazy.”
