This isn’t just another debut. It is the son of AR Rahman singing his first ever song for a movie. The 14-year-old AR Ameen has sung a song for the upcoming Telugu movie, Nirmala Convent.

The track which was released on Valentine’s Day is a youthful love song and has already become a hit. Apparently, fans of the Mozart of Madras are loving his son’s music, too.

Nirmala Convent also marks the debut of Roshan, son of actor Srikanth and Shreya Sharma, who appeared as a child artiste in films like Jai Chiranjeeva, Robot, and Dookudu. The film has been described as a youthful, romantic entertainer, and shooting for it is nearing completion.

The film, presented by Nagarjuna, has been shot in Jaipur, Araku, Medak, Nainital, and Chikmangaluru. It is also G Naga Koteswara Rao’s directorial debut.

With a song by the young Ameen who comes with an enviable legacy, there’s going to be plenty of interest in Nirmala Convent, to be sure.
