The NDA government has presented its maiden railway budget. Union railway minister Suresh Prabhu’s pronouncements on the floor of the Lok Sabha has mixed reactions. While most welcomed the overall thrust and also that it did not play to the gallery, by introducing new trains, the stock market gave it a thumbs down. Al in all, the general feeling is that it is a fair attempt.
