Man’s corpse found hanging near Parliament with a 30-page suicide note

In a bizarre incident, the corpse of man was found hanging from a tree near the Parliament building in New Delhi.

The corpse clad in a blue shirt and jeans was found at the press’ parking lot close to the Parliament building. A bag was also found at the spot.

The man was identified as Ram Dayal Verma (39) from Shivapuri town in Madhya Pradesh. According to NDTV, Delhi police found a 30-page suicide note which reportedly suggested that Verma was cash-strapped. 

What is astonishing is that the area is the heavily-guarded Vijay Chowk, which is flanked by some of the most important government buildings in the capital besides the President’s House or Rashtrapati Bhawan.
