Believe it or not this mum-of-two Julia Caples is a real-life vampire – who drinks almost two litres of blood a month from consenting human donors.
The 45-year-old has been drinking blood for over 30 years while bringing up her two children, Alexi, 11 and Ariel, 24.

Julia searches for willing donors or fellow vampires who could help her score a pint or two. She goes hunting in local occult and oddities stores looking for donors.
At her home in Pennylvania, she has designed a pagan-like sterilized knife to carefully slit open her donor’s body.
Even though she admits that there’s no nutrition from her gory addiction, she claims that the noxious habit keeps her feeling young and vigorous -just like ageless vampires from cult movies.
“When I feed off of a person and drink their blood I feel stronger and healthier,” she was quoted by Mirror.co.uk.
“I know scientifically there’s not a lot nutrition in blood, but maybe there’s some value we haven’t discovered yet.
“I feel more beautiful than any other time when I’m regularly drinking.
“I’m also extremely healthy with no major health problems, and I have an abundance of energy all the time.
“At times I’ve drunk half-a-gallon a month.”
Apparently, her craving for human blood began when she was a young girl. She claims that bit her lover during her first kiss as a teenager.

This real-life vampire married her ex-husband – Donald – in a vampire-themed wedding in October 2000 and even drank from each other to celebrate.
However, Donald gave up his bloody habit after the birth of their son Alexi.

Despite Julia’s desperate efforts to keep her lifestyle secret from from her children, they learned about their mother’s ghoulish ways.
